I never fell into the WoW hype (thankfully). Never understood what people liked about it. Guess I just never saw the appeal myself. If I was going to play an MMO, I don't see any reason why I'd pick it before one like Final Fantasy XIV or Blade and Soul (pending BaS having fixed the major hacker/bot problem. I actually haven't kept up with the game much since it was overrun by the likes of those people).

Haven't played it in years. Does it still look like a cartoon? I heard turning the graphics up makes it look way better.
They improved the character sprites for Legion a few years back. It's not as impressive graphically as other games, since effectively it's still a game released in 2004. But it looks better than it did.

I do own the new expansion, having pre-ordered it months ago, mostly to play as Void Elves. But yeah, I never actually bought a month since it came out. Been too busy!

I've played WoW for many years. I pre-ordered BFA they day the pre-order was released. My main is 120, progressing through end-game content as we speak. I've always loved playing the game, I've met so many people because if it and a lot of those friendships are going on 10+ years. The graphics are much better. And, honestly, they did an amazing job with the new zones as far as details and graphics go. They are truly beautiful.

I've heard there's been a lot of issues with the new expansion. I feel it compares to Warlords of Draenor levels off critique. Especially after the praise of legion. Such a shame.

Honestly, the latest expansion is so much better than Legion. There were a lot of problems at the beginning but that is to be expected when decide to release the game to millions and millions of people world-wide all at the same time. Most of the bugs have been worked out and they continue smoothing things out as they add new content for us to enjoy.

I should definitely check it out. I've not been home in about a month so I don't really have a computer.

I got the new expansion, but haven't been able to play. Started a new job and college on october 1st. That and having a 3 year old keeps me busy. I do plan on starting it back up after I finish enough of my degree to have the time to play. But my new job has lots of mandatory overtime so we will see how that goes. I do love WoW. I tried the online final fantasy game, but could not get into it.

With WoW coming out in 2019, I'm looking forward to exploring vanilla Warcraft again, since its been nearly a decade since the cataclysm. Does anyone think it will be in high demand? Or will it fizzle out from exhaustion of a 14 year old game?
I personally have hopes it will do well, especially since it will be part of your subscription for modern Warcraft.

Oh I am pretty certain it will do well. As a bonus, blizzard decided anyone with an active subscription will be able to play it making it even more likely people will come back and enjoy it. If they would have decided to launch it with an additional monthly fee, I don't think it would do so well. But, we shall see.
